Experts anticipate a sharp rise in the trading of Australian domain names. This follows a move to relax current restrictions on the sale of .au domain names. Au Domain Administration Limited plans to scrap regulations which prohibit people from advertising .au domain names for sale. AusRegistry's Simon Delzoppo expects many people to seek to sell Australian domain names that they have registered when the ban is lifted. Gregg Platt of Dark Blue Sea says the reforms may result in a big increase in the value of com.au domain names, although most experts say prices are unlikely to reach those seen for US domain names.
