Business booming as e-doubters come online

The Australian Bureau of Statistics released data about online business on 19 November 2007. In the 12 months to 30 June 2006, of 716 companies conducting business online, the value of transactions leapt 40 per cent to $A57 billion. Although more consumers are shopping via the internet, the main reason for growth is the increase in business-to-business (B2B) transactions, such as those via the online exchange Marketboomer or the online document management system of Aconex.
